Nor should you. This lesson has taken me some time to learn. In the past, I seldom (if ever) gave myself permission to ask for help. I thought it meant I was weak or dumb, only making me feel sad and alone. I’d even get angry sometimes, especially when I didn’t know how to do something. Finally, I looked up from my circumstances, saw the bigger picture, and noticed that I had people in my life who were happy to help; all I had to do was ask. When I did, I felt supported, loved, and connected. Just because you ask for support, it doesn't mean you’re weak or dumb.
